Data Logger 1
Modular FieldKit hardware allows you to gather high-quality data across various modalities for your project and connect to our data conversation portal through an easy-to-use mobile app. This enables you to deploy an array of sensing systems to capture more data at lower cost, creating greater spatial diversity, more measurements, and enhanced redundancy. It’s a system you can trust anywhere, gathering data you can be confident in.
Data capture frequency is customizable via the mobile app and can be set as frequently as every minute. Integrated GPS provides location and timestamp data, synchronized across all four sensor module bays.

Safety Instructions
Use caution when installing the wind vane, cup anemometer and rain gauge, as they are on a metal mast, which may pose a risk of electric shock and lightning exposure. Please make certain that the mast is properly grounded, and is installed away from any power lines.

To support the team’s scientific goals, we cobbled together a DIY sensor network from open hardware, streaming live data on pH, temperature, and water flow from one of the world’s most remote river systems. It was early proof that transparent, low-cost tech could connect distant ecosystems and support urgent conservation efforts. Thus began our dream of building the “Internet of Earth Things” — a resilient network of environmental sensors that could empower real-time, open-source conservation science.
