Some people talk about being able to go the distance. This module is all about measuring it. This module allows you to, as Dire Straits would have it, “Go down to the waterline,” and figure out the depth of a river or a stream from a vantage point overhead. You could also get the depth of snowfall with this same unit, or figure out how deep of a hole you’ve dug for yourself*.
The distance module board connects with a distance sensor by way of a weather-resistant Cat 5 cable. This probe is water resistant, and also has an ultrasonic sensor horn that’s designed to be mounted facing downwards.
